One third of the weight is gone!

I know I keep making these random blog entries about my percentage loss, or how far I am through the challenge. I find that it really helps to keep me accountable and see that there is a light at the end of the weight loss tunnel.

Today I was looking at my overall loss of 6.7kg, in comparison to the total I want to lose (being 20.6kg). At the moment I've set my goal weight at 75kg, which would put my BMI at 24.5 (being at the upper end of the healthy weight range). I'm not sure if this is where I want to be ultimately, but considering I haven't weight that little in over a decade, I'll see how I feel when I get there.

In any case, my loss to date represents a loss of 32.5% of the total I'm aiming for. That means I'm practically 1/3 of the way through my weight loss journey (come on, that extra 0.8% doesn't count).

When I look at things in these terms, while these past 6 week haven't been easy... they haven't been that hard either. If I can continue as I have, I could be at my goal weight by October of this year. Even if my weight loss slows down as I reach goal (which does seem to happen for a lot of people), I could be at goal by Christmas. That is amazing.

If knowing that I could be 14kg lighter and at my goal by the end of the year isn't enough to keep me going, I don't know what is.
