Things were pretty good today. I have to admit I ate a couple of oopsie rolls on top of my daily intake, hopefully the extra 100 calories or so shouldn't affect me too much. Plus I went to the gym, so I think a little extra protein is probably a good thing.
Food:
Breakfast: Optifast chocolate shake
Snack: Two oopsie rolls with a scrape of light philly cream cheese
Lunch: Steamed veggies and a chocolate shake
Dinner: Vegetable stir fry with garlic, ginger and soy sauce
Yet to have: final shake
Drinks: water, green tea
Exercise:
I had a decent session at the gym. I completed 22 minutes on the treadmill, mainly walking at 6.3km/hr (with an incline). I managed to fit in about 7 minutes of jogging in that set (approx 8.3km/hr). I finished up my session with 15 minutes in the stretching zone, doing push-ups and various medicine ball exercises.
I have to say I'm at a loss when it comes to exercise. If I walk at the gym I don't feel that I'm working hard enough. By comparison, I love getting a bit of jogging in. I started doing the couch to 5km program about a year ago and loved the initial weeks where you undertake short intervals, alternating between walking and running. However, I ended up with shin splints and had to stop the program.
I tend to be a bit susceptible to injuries so I'm hesitant to make jogging a regular occurrence... but I just love the feeling of being really worn out after a work out.
