Day Nine

DAY NINE

Not so good here today in the house of 84. I went out to a burger joint with some friends for dinner. I had it all planned out - I ordered a salad with grilled mushrooms (which was lovely and pretty healthy). Then the restaurant stuffed up and brought out some chips that we didn't order. I ate some of them. I feel bad, but this isn't going to stop me. It just goes to prove how hard it is to deal with food in a social setting.

My friend also gave me some chocolate muffins as a present. They look divine! I've promised myself that I'm limiting my damage to the chips I ate and the muffins will promptly be gifted to my family tomorrow!

But for the chips incident, my day was pretty good.

Food:

Breakfast: Optifast chocolate shake
Lunch: Zucchini and leek soup
Afternoon snack: Second shake, cauliflower croquettes
Dinner: Grilled mushroom salad, chips
Liquids: green tea, water and red wine (the red wine was a conscious decision and a treat to end the week).

Exercise:

No planned exercise again today unfortunately. However, I'm personally of the opinion that Friday is a permitted off day!

  1. Well done :) A few chips won't hurt, and I wouldn't be able to resist a chocolate muffin so don't stress, you've done well :D

  2. Thanks for the reassurance! I went extra hard at the gym to try and un-do the damage... but if the result is that I don't lose anything... well I'll just have to cop it on the chin.
