DAY TWO
My resolve is still strong at the moment - as you would hope for at this point in time. I've been doing lots of reading lately which keeps me inspired. If you're looking for some health / exercise tips, I can recommend free women's fitness. They have a wonderful website with practical advice. I've signed up for their email updates - anything which keeps me focused is good.
If you're the kind of person who needs some moral support, can I recommend the Tony Ferguson forums. I'm not on the TF program, but enjoy reading the forum and posting from time to time. They have some amazing, inspirational before and after stories. It is also a great resource for healthy meal ideas and supermarket products. Plus the members there are very supportive of everyone, regardless of what weight loss program you're following.
Unfortunately for me, day two is a Friday (4 June 2010), which means there will be many temptations which lie ahead of me.
In my world, Friday night means drinks at work - normally accompanied by chips / crackers / other lovely food. It often means heading out for dinner and/or drinks, it means living! I knew this wasn't going to be easy, but the amount of food I've had to turn down today is ridiculous!
In any event, here are the stats for today. As much as I'd like to say they're perfect, they aren't.

Temptation
One of my work colleagues works part-time at a fancy pizza joint. She brought in a dessert pizza today - it looked like heaven, but I said no.
While my resolve was good early in the day, it didn't last. I went to my parent's place for dinner - what a nightmare. If you read above, what I ate for dinner was execllent. I took the mushrooms with me and ate salad which was prepared (avoiding all the yummy fetta in it).
I also made dessert (apple and rasberry crumble) without picking on anything. I turned down dessert as well as the wine on offer.
My one downfall was that I ate a handful of grainwaves (chips) and some olives that were put out as nibbles. By no means was this a major blow-out, but I'm disappointed considering how early I am in my journey. I guess I'll live to fight another day.

Whenever I start exercising, I tend to do too much, too soon and end up with injuries. As I have already been to the gym every day since Sunday, I've decided to have a rest tonight. First thing tomorrow, I'm back to it!
