Week 10 - Weigh In

Well I'm not sure what's going on this week, but I've had another slow one - a loss of 400g which brings me down to 87.6kg.

If I'm being completely honest with myself, I haven't been perfect food wise. You just need to look at my entries from Saturday and Tuesday night where I had chicken caesar salad (on both occasions) a piece of cake and a couple of glasses of wine. On the other hand I have had one of my best weeks on the exercise front.

While I'm not happy with my result, I'm not unhappy. I've done really well so far and we all know these things can't happen at lightening pace forever.

I'm very much in two minds about the situation and am worried that I may have hit the dreaded plateau which every dieter dreads! I'm considering whether I should go off the intensive phase for the next couple of weeks and onto transition. The overall effect is only a couple of hundred extra calories per day and it might just be the thing I need to kick-start my losses again. Plus it would mean I could eat some fruit... decisions decisions.

  1. The only comfort I can give on hitting a plateau is knowing that given enough time it will pass. As my dietician told me, you can't be on this program (honestly) and not have it work.

  2. Thanks for the words of support. I have to admit I've fallen off the wagon a bit in the past few days. It's amazing how easily bad habits come back.

But you're right, I just have to stick it out through these tough periods.
